It was the first time Rose successfully defended a title on the European Tour— a career that spans 20 years, 290 events and 11 victories. 85 - PERCENTAGES FAVOUR ROSE Since May 2018, Justin Rose has finished in the top ten in 11 of his 13 worldwide starts, or 85 percent. Nearly 30 percent more than Dustin Johnson, Francesco Molinari, Justin Thomas, Tony Finau or any other player on a Major Tour. 3 - WESTWOOD JOINS SOUTH AFRICAN-BORN GREATS Lee Westwood joins Ernie Els, David Frost and Nick Price as the only players to have won the Nedbank Golf Challenge on three occasions. 953 - WILLETT ENDS WINLESS STREAK Danny Willett’s first victory in 953 days came at the DP World Tour Championship. That’s two years, seven months and nine days. His last victory came 64 events previous at the Masters in 2016. Since his major victory in 2016, Willett missed 25 cuts and dropped to as low as 462nd in the Official World Golf Rankings. 2019 - RAI WINS EUROPEAN TOUR SEASON-OPENER Englishman Aaron Rai claimed his maiden European Tour victory at the Hong Kong Open by two shots. The 23-year-old opened the 2019 Race to Dubai campaign with a stunning wire-to-wire win over fellow countryman Matthew Fitzpatrick. Australian Jason Schivener finished in a tie for third place. 22 - THE MATCH Phil Mickeslon outlasted Tiger Woods to win at the 22nd hole in their US$9 million head-to-head match in Las Vegas. Playing in front of 700 invited guests at Shadow Creek Golf Club, Mickelson holed a four-foot birdie putt at the fourth extra hole to secure victory.
