Discover Golf : August 2018
Bryson DeChambeau has the right formula for success! The 24-year-old American and physics major is enjoying a breakout season on the PGA Tour. DeChambeau, who is known as the ‘Mad Scientist’, has captured three wins this season including victories at the opening two FedExCup Playoff events—The Northern Trust & Dell Technologies Championship. He becomes only the second player in the 12 years of the lucrative FedExCup to win the opening two Playoffs events. DeChambeau is in the box seat to win the FedExCup and its US$10 million bonus. His latest win in Boston means he is assured of holding the much sought after No. 1 seed when he gets to the TOUR Championship—the finale event. The late season surge from DeChambeau to the winner’s circle has moved him up to World No. 7. He started the year at No. 99. Cameron Smith is the highest ranked Australian in the FedExCup standings. Smith moved up to eighth place after finishing in third place at the first two FedExCup Playoff events. There’s no doubt the careers of DeChambeau and Smith are travelling in the right direction. So, speaking of travel, we’ve featured an amazing destination that is sure to reach the heights of your top golfing experiences—the Canadian Rockies! Here’s to discovering golf and seeing the world.
