15 discovergolf.com.au Get Connected rotation drill tip by NADENE GOLE To get the most out of your golf swing, your arms and body should work together. Here’s a rotation drill you can use to get connected and help you produce better ball striking around the course. Feet Together drill 1. Stand toe to toe at address. 2. On the backswing, make a one-piece body turn. 3. On the downswing, rotate your chest through the ball to face your target. Swinging with your feet together is one of the best drills to help your entire game. This simple drill promotes good balance and tempo, which are necessary foundations for consistent ball-striking and distance control. Importantly, this drill trains you to use your lower body less, placing more emphasis on your arm and upper body rotation. The more you rotate your chest through the ball, the less you need to rely on your hands and wrists. As long as your arms and chest accelerate through to the finish, you’ll get all the power you need. Want to achieve your goal in 2016? Enroll in one of Nadene’s golf schools at Victoria Golf Club.
